Ms. Freeman has more than 15 years of diversified leadership experience encompassing the military and the private sector. Ms. Freeman began her career in the U.S. Air Force (USAF), where she ensured operational effectiveness and compliance with military standards and regulations. She brought success to each assignment, both domestic and foreign, including the U.S. Embassy in Portugal and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense with her strong leadership, communication, project management and sales and marketing skills.
Upon entering the private sector, she engaged in administrative, computer programming and networking, configuration management, and information security assurance for Logicon (now, Northrop Grumman) and Boeing Information Services. She entered the capture management industry as a proposal consultant, soon engaging in multibillion-dollar competitive bids for business-to-business and business-to-government (DoD and non-DoD) procurements. Ms. Freeman served as the managing partner of a small, established local proposal development firm for approximately 6 years, until forming TeknoLogix.
Now as a SWaM-certified, Veteran, Small Business owner, and having had many years of experience providing business development consulting services and training to large corporations and small and disadvantaged minority businesses, Ms. Freeman knows the skill sets needed to grow and develop a successful enterprise. Ms. Freeman, a national partner to Women Impacting Pulic Policy (WIPP) recently has accepted the role as a team leader to support WIPP initiatives in Hampton Roads Region. Ms. Freeman has also accepted a seat on the WIPP Corporate Advisory Board with other corporations. Additionally, she is an active participant of WIPP procurement committee.
